Most of them were used as the parts of the industry machines, and they never touched the eyes of the public very much.

We have many goods products, but we can affirm that the monument of stainless steel which rose in Kakegawa station North Exit is suitable for showing the public our technology power.

This monument was designed by Mr. Jun Suzuki, a worldwide famous sculptor, and made as the opening commemoration of JR Kakegawa new station.

He made not only this monument but also the ones of Kakegawa City Eastern Industry Apartment Buildings and Acty Mori recently.

His works are being exhibited in Metropolitan Museum of New York and Chicago library, New York City Library, Dusseldorf Museum in Germany, and so on.

Though he is active at present around Kakegawa, he has displayed many works so far in Europe and America, and his talent has been evaluated high around the West by many people.

Furthermore, he established the facilities (Tensai-Pool・Tensai-Pool Choujou Gakuin)to improve the new talent for the next generation recently, and puts effort into the education activities in the cultural side.

This monument is composed of three stainless steel material of 11m high. The name of the work is "Gen".

Around one weight is about six tons. He combined stainless steel pillars with the natural stones of the basalt arranged in the middle, and it made "Harmony with the Nature" a theme.

It is the monument which is suitable for the new entrance of Kakegawa City.

It is needless to say that it could be completed thanks to each enterprise constructing it, the arrangement for the material and welding.

Without the cooperation of Mr. Jun Suzuki, this monument may not have been made.

We are hoping that this monument made by many people's cooperation keeps lighting up forever and ever as the symbol of Kakegawa City.
